Sacred expectation

There’s something sacred about the day before a garden begins.

Tomorrow is our Labor of Love Garden Day, and we can hardly contain the excitement. What has been, until now, a simple plot of dirt is about to become something so much more—a place of growth, provision, connection, and purpose. By this time tomorrow, seeds will be tucked into the soil, plants will be rooted in their new home, and the first chapter of this season will officially begin.

It’s hard to explain the kind of hope that lives in a garden before anything has ever even grown.

Right now, to some, it looks like bare ground.

But we see rows of vegetables, hands working side by side, laughter carried on the breeze, and baskets filled with fresh harvest. We see neighbors becoming friends and friends becoming family. We see something that feeds more than just bodies.

Gardens have a way of reminding us how good it is to start small. A seed doesn’t look like much—but given time, care, and the right conditions, it becomes something abundant. In many ways, that’s what this garden represents to us. It’s a step of faith, a commitment to our community, and a belief that when people come together with willing hands and open hearts, beautiful things grow.

Tomorrow isn’t just about transplanting seedlings and planting seeds—it’s about planting intention. It’s about choosing to cultivate something meaningful, together. Every shovel in the dirt, every seed in the ground, every drop of sweat will carry purpose. This is a garden built on generosity, on shared effort, and on the simple but powerful idea that we’re better when we grow together.

We’re especially excited to welcome everyone who plans to come out and help. Whether you’re planting, watering, learning, or just stopping by to be part of it—you belong here. This space was always meant to be shared.

By the end of the day, the transformation will be visible. That same plot of dirt will begin to tell a different story. One of hope. One of provision. One of community showing up for each other.

And this is only the beginning.

We can’t wait to get our hands dirty with you.

It’s going to be amazing to get our seedlings rooted as our community begins to grow so very soon we will all be thriving together.
